The Emerald Princess

Simon Morris is the sculptor of the larger than life mermaid statues placed underwater in Powell River, B.C., and Grand Cayman, BWI, in promotion of diving tourism.

The Emerald Princess pictured here was the first, placed in 60 feet of water on March 16th, 1989 in a small part of Saltery Bay that was soon officially renamed Mermaid Cove. She has been visited by divers from around the world.
